I confess that I know very little in the way of general law, however I came across this the other day and would like to pose two questions to the wise and worldly readers of this blog.
1) Would this be illegal in Canada (my answer is I don't know)?
2) Should this be illegal in Canada (my answer is an absolute YES)?
